American River
Overview
Spawning habitat rehabilitation on the lower American River has involved a stakeholder partnership. Some designs were developed by government agency staff (notably John Hannon) and others by consulting firms (e.g, cbec eco-engineering), both of which received various amounts of training from our team. California State University at Sacramento has played an important role monitoring and evaluating project outcomes.
The Nature Conservancy has a good overview website about SHR activities on the lower American River.
